Second Base
Second Base began his journey into electronic music in the late 90's, quickly clinging to the fast UK hardcore sounds. He got his first pair of turntables in 2001 and began practicing. Soon, the happy sounds of the UK hardcore just weren't cutting it. He moved on to play Dutch hardcore, gabber, darkcore and industrial. By 2004, he released his first demo and the bookings came pouring in. Taking influences from DJ Nosferatu, Endymion, Tommyknocker, Evil Activities and locals like Cloudskipper and No Left Turn, he had a unique brand of hardcore the Bay Area had yet to see, single handedly representing a genre that has since gained respect. Pulsing, uncompromising beats accompanied by strong stage presence have made Second Base a household Bay Area name in hardcore.
